But there is hope!!

Comment with your best tips that help you with anxiety and stress.

Here are some of mine…

Ways to Help Calm Anxiety

#1 Pray! It may seem simple but it’s powerful!! Pray the scriptures over your life!! Pray that Your feelings and emotions be those that God wants you to have. Pray for the Holy Spirit to comfort you and guide you. Pray that your flesh submit to the Holy Spirit. Pray the Armor of God over yourself. Ephesians 6:10-18

#2 Read God’s Word everyday!! It renews our mind and is sharper than any sword. ! Hebrews 4:12

#3 Praise God. Even when you don’t feel like it. It’s a sacrifice of praise. Crank that praise n worship music up and see how it lifts the mood!

#4 Go for a walk. The fresh air and exercise is amazing for you.

#5 Get some sunshine. A lack of vitamin D plays an affect on our moods. The Dr has my friend on Vitamin D to help him. His levels stay low and it makes him feel down.

#6 Drink plenty of water. Water helps keep everything flowing and working properly. We aren’t at our best when dehydrated.

#7 Laugh! Watch a funny movie or video. Laughter is good for the soul. Proverbs 17:22

#8 Talk to a friend. Having someone you can talk to that will affirm your feeling yet point you to Christ and God’s word is the best friend to keep around you during those hard days.

#9 Plenty of Sleep. Making sure you are getting plenty of sleep is so important. I know personally, if I’m not getting my sleep, I’m more easily overwhelmed.

I have to saturate my brain with His Word or I leave room for anxiety to set in. ❤

Starla, thank you so much for sharing the Bible Verses for Anxiety. Not only have I struggled with anxiety in the past, but I minister to high schoolers who have an enormous amount of anxiety and stress. I am sharing this with them soon.
    Thank you.

Thank you for this list. I started today writing these in my journal I started for the sole purpose of writing God’s Word. I haven’t gotten far (shame on me!) but these are good to start with since I have been struggling some with this issue. I know it is the enemy attacking me but sometimes he’s hard to fight off, but this makes it easier. Some of these I had to ponder a bit to connect with why you chose these for this subject, but I found them an interesting perspective on anxiety. That is one thing I love about sharing with other Christians; they have insights and thoughts you had not considered and we learn from each other. God bless!
